ANZAC Poppies

We painted pictures of the poppies in Flanders Fields to remember those who have fought for us. These are on display in the school office. The children have made an amazing job of these and they will need a very special place on the wall when they are sent home.

Maths with our Year 10 Buddies

Mrs Gibbs brought her Year 10 Maths class over the bridge to work with us. We had to work together to solve problems. It was a lot of fun.  The learning was very focussed and the exchanges between the different age groups was delightful.

The New Playground is Open

Pastor Stan officially opened our new playground last Friday. We are really enjoying playing on it. Thank you very much to all of the members of the school community that have worked hard to make this dream a reality.

Celebrating the letter Qq

We ate some quince paste today. For many of us it was a new experience. Most of us thought that it was delicious.

For Science today, we used a quill and wrote invisible messages with lemon juice. We left them to dry. When we ironed them the messages appeared. Have a go at drawing an invisible picture at home.

Celebrating the letter L

On Friday we like to celebrate our letter of the week, by eating something, doing a science experiment  and making something crafty with our big buddies that starts with the letter.
Try the science experiment at home. You need cooking oil, water and a dissolvable tablet, e.g. Berocca. Pour the oil and water in a jar and drop the fizzy tablet in. Ask you child what they think is happening. You will be surprised at their thoughts and ideas.
