We have been learning about the rule that makes the c soft in some words. Ask your children to read this weeks poem to you. Thank you to the Ruma tahi children that brought things for us to taste.

Celebrating the letter Cc
Thank you to the tamariki who brought along food to share that started with the letter c. We crunched on carrots, corn and cauliflower and were treated to some carrot cake after lunch. It was wonderful to see children trying food that they had not tried before. We always encourage them to try a little bit of anything new - quite a few may now be asking for raw cauliflower. :)
The Butterfly Lady
Maria Romero came to visit us today.
She taught us all about Monarch Butterflies.
It is important not to touch the caterpillars.
They only eat swan plants.
Monarch butterflies can smell swan plants from 2km away.
She has left some plants and caterpillars for us to look after.
