Dripping Drops

Mrs O'Boyle from the University of Canterbury came and worked with our amazing scientists. We learnt about molecules and surface tension by dripping drops of red water onto a 20 cent coin and made some careful observations.

  1. The dripping drops was cool. I saw the bubble on top of the coin. By Oskar

  2. Rhiann said if you put 16 drops on the coin it will break, but if you put 14 drops it will hold on. It's nice to know that your child is enjoying while learning at the same time. : Jo Ann (Rhiann's mum)
