U is for Universal Indicator

This week for Science we had a real scientist (Mr Walters) visit us and we got to use real scientific equipment. It was fun to make predictions and observations about what we saw happening.
We made some universal indicator using red cabbage water. When we put acid onto it, it turned red and when we used alkaline it turned blue. You could try these experiments next time you have red cabbage for dinner.
