Eggsperiments

How can you tell if an egg is raw or cooked? Check out our video. If you spin the egg and then stop it by placing your hand onto the top....a cooked egg will stop spinning....a raw egg will continue spinning.  Why???
The raw egg has fluid inside that keeps moving when it is stopped by the hand.
Try these fun experiments at home and make careful observations, predictions and try to explain why things happen. Be real Scientists!!!
The children made amazing predictions and observations using the scientific knowledge they have developed so far this year.
Our predictions - The egg will turn red because vinegar is an acid.
- The egg will get bigger because the gas bubbles will go inside it.
-The egg will get bigger and explode
-The egg will shrink.

If you are trying the egg in the bottle experiment, parental supervision is a must!
Hint - It helps to wet the bottle neck prior to the experiment.
